HUMANITIES 10 GRADING Your trimester grade depends on three factors:           1.  Your classwork, including your class participation         2.  Your daily homework reading         3.  Your performance on exams You will receive "daily grades" for in-class work and daily reading quizzes over your homework assignments.  The average of these contributes 50% to your trimester average.  We usually have between fifty and sixty daily grades, and I generally drop your two lowest ones. At the end of each teaching unit, we have a "major test."  There may be anywhere from one to three exams during a trimester.  The average of these contributes the other 50% to your trimester average.  I do not drop major test grades at all. So:  "daily grades" = 50%          "major tests"   = 50%       TRIMESTER              GRADE        = 100%
